Martec Turns 60!
ELIZABETH, New Jersey, March 13, 2017 – In a practice that could be called ‘leading through growth’, Martec International has dedicated itself to the idea that growth is possible, and inevitable, despite a challenging economic climate and a difficult 2016.
In a 2016 which saw industry contraction, the collapse of Hanjin, and a substantial downturn across the board, replacement parts supplier Martec International has seen a path forward. Martec has expanded their product offering, sales force, and industry presence through internal streamlining, cost controls, and a continued focus on customer relationships. As they enter their 60th year of operation, Martec has reason to believe their approach works.
The focus on service has led Martec to launch their first e-commerce site, offering UBLights LED light bars and work lights direct to the consumer. As the exclusive international distributor of UBLights, Martec International can offer UBLights’ products to the consumer at a competitive price, without impacting existing vendor relationships. The LED lighting options offered are aimed at the Jeep and off road segment of the lighting industry. UBLights’ chassis and industrial lighting options are still offered through a robust distributor network.
Martec International is also releasing the first of their private label replacement transportation parts in 2017. Sold under the ProCore Parts+ brand name, these are a line of OEM-quality aftermarket parts and supplies, intended to provide a low cost / high quality option for the heavy transportation replacement and service market. ProCore has been in development for several years, and has undergone factory and in-house testing to ensure that the durability and quality are at least on par with the original equipment.
When asked about Martec’s direction, President and CEO Alex Ewig replied, “With 10 locations throughout the US and Central America, Martec has become the premier heavy transportation replacement parts supplier, especially for the intermodal industry.
